What Happened in March
We helped with a Council Webelos Woods event where we helped Webelos Scouts learn what it is to be Boy Scouts. We helped out at a Council Rocket Academy where we helped Cub Scouts build model rockets and launch them safely. We had another Eagle Scout candidate build and deliver his Eagle Scout project. It looks great, and he is currently awaiting the last meeting to have his Eagle awarded to him. We also are happy to welcome our newest Scout who bridged over from Pack 285 this month.
During our monthly campout, the boys visited a National Recreation Area in Sulphur, Oklahoma, where they learned about the history of the area, and learned about plants and animals native to the area. They also really enjoyed the views of the various small waterfalls. We had Scouts who learned how to safely use axes, saws, and hatchets, which was taught very well by one of the older scouts. Finally, every Scout’s favorite, following all the woodwork they had plenty of material to provide us with a really nice campfire Saturday night and Sunday morning, when the overnight low was 20 degrees.
Thank you for all that you do to support us!
