I wanted to take a moment to share some news with you. Recently, God has been doing some new things in my personal life. The worship series I have presented in the month of July has really been a personal journey. It has made real for me God’s presence in all we do.
Recently, God has chosen to present another ministry opportunity to me. I was offered a full-time position as a Chaplain/Bereavement Coordinator at New Century Hospice in Denton. After a lot of prayer and time with God, I decided I would follow to the place God is calling me.
My last Sunday at Oak Grove UMC will be August 13, 2017. I will be around during that week as I hand off information the the new pastor. The SPRC committee will meet with our District Superintendent on Wednesday to talk about the future and the needs of Oak Grove.
This is a really exciting time for all of us. This is the time God is saying Oak Grove is ready for what is next. The next part of the journey toward growth, unity and presence in the community.
My family and I will miss everyone at Oak Grove very much, and the church will continue to be in my prayers as we head down these new paths with God.
