The Healthy Communities Coalition and the Area Agency on Aging are offering a FREE workshop on self-care for the caregiver on Saturday, September 22, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Denton Civic Center.
This event is designed for unpaid family caregivers. However, everyone is invited to attend.
There is no charge for this event. However, voluntary contributions will be accepted. with a suggested contribution amount of $12.50 to offset the cost of lunch and materials.
CEUs (3 Contact hours) will be available for Liscensed Social Workers and Liscensed Professional Counselors attending the entirety of the event. There is a $10 processing fee, which will be collected the day of the event. NO PARTIAL CEUs AVAILABLE!

- Move Your Body Safely and Correctly, and Increase Your Strength and Balance – Learn proper body mechanics as you provide hands-on care and learn exercises to strengthen your core and improve your balance. - Breathe and Sleep – Learn tools and techniques to relax, reduce stress, sleep better, and increase your energy. Coach: Kim Mathis, MS, LBSW, ACC, Certified Wellcoaches Health and Wellness Coach, Evidenced-Based Program Specialist for the North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging
