A Change in Order of Worship

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

This Sunday, we will resume incorporating our financial giving as an act of worship during our service. The offering has long been a central element in the worship life of God’s people as an expression of gratitude and trust in God. It is a tangible expression of our love for God and our willingness to depend upon Him for everything we need.

To minimize contact, we will not ‘pass the plate’ from one to another but our ushers will circulate between the pews to offer the opportunity for you to give in a spirit of worship. We will conclude the offering time by singing the doxology, Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow.

This will be a small but important step toward returning to ‘normal’ at Oak Grove. Those who worship at home via Facebook Live can participate by using the offering time to prepare your offering to be mailed to the church or transmitted electronically if that is your preference. Thank you for your faithfulness in financially supporting the ministries of Oak Grove through your offerings to the Lord.

As a reminder, we will also celebrate Holy Communion this Sunday so please pick up your self-contained communion set when you come in.

I look forward to our time in worship together! May God fill us with His Spirit and our sanctuary with His glory!

For Jesus and the kingdom of God,
Pastor Don

John 3:16

God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him won’t perish but will have eternal life.
