Change in COVID-19 Mask Policy

May 18, 2021

In response to the recent change in CDC guidelines and the interpretation of that information to our annual conference by Bishop McKee, our church leadership team has made the following change to our COVID-19 policy:

Persons who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, will have the option of wearing masks in worship and at other indoor church activities. Those who have not been fully vaccinated are asked to continue to mask until fully vaccinated.

This change in our policy is implemented on the basis of the ‘honor system.’ No one will be asked whether they have been vaccinated or not. We will all continue to show respect and love for one another in our personal choices.

All pews will be open to seating in the sanctuary.

Although the threat of COVID-19 has been significantly reduced by the availability of vaccines, the virus is still with us.  Let us remain wise in vigilance and grateful for God’s grace as we celebrate this step toward victory.

John 3:16

God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him won’t perish but will have eternal life.
